Sleep Sounds Ocean Waves

It has been said, that a picture is worth a thousand words.  If that is true, than from all the pictures I have taken of the ocean, I have written thousands of words.  Please join me on an ocean wave pictures tour that I am sure will relax and soothe your tired mind.

While it is not the same thing as being at the ocean, a picture does so much!  It is a breath taking view that can connect your emotions with your mind and body.

When I visit the ocean, I always have my Nikon Coolpix P3 camera with me.  While it is now getting some age and there are probably more cameras on the market that would do a better job, I still love my camera.  It allows me to capture what it is that I see with my own eyes.

The following ocean wave pictures are ones that I have taken over the years.  I tried to pick some of my favorites.  If you wish to use these, you are free to do so but the only thing I ask is that you give me a link back to this website in the credits.

Gazing Out Into The Vast Horizon

This is one of my favorites because of the deep blue sky that seems to magnify the feeling of this picture.  It is the vast horizon because it looks like the picture will never end.  I love the image of the ocean that just goes on and on forever.  Of course in the foreground, you have the ocean waves that just seem to ever so gently caress the shore.  As we move along through our ocean wave pictures tour, just take note of the rolling waves as they crash on to the shore, creating whitecaps.

 

 

The Vegetation Of The Shore Meets The Waves

Even though this picture does not appear bright, I remember it being sunny that day.  So, the wrong setting on my camera most likely is to account for this appearance.  Yet, even when I mess up, I still enjoy the pictures because this just makes it look like a tranquil setting that is soothing and relaxing.  It is as if you could almost sleep to the sounds of ocean waves in these ocean wave pictures.  The gray against the light blue and dark green provides such a contrast of colors that are so conducive together that it yields calmness.

 

 

The Power Of The Ocean Waves

If you just continue to look at the waves in this picture,  you can see the power of them.  You can almost hear the roar of the waves as they crash into the shore.  The strength they bring in is something you will quickly understand if you are ever standing where they break.  The force behind this water is out of this world.  With the waves that come in, picture the ocean bringing in that which you need and as the waves return, it takes away that which you do not need in your life.  I often give up my stress to the ocean for it is large enough to take it away and wash the slate clean.

 

 

Stretching Tranquility Of Ocean Waves

No matter what happens in our world, the stretching tranquility of the ocean waves will always be there for us.  We can picture ourselves in the bigger view just like in this picture.  The shoreline and the ocean stretch for what seems like forever as the waves wash in and wash out from the sandy beach.  Yet, the beach and the ocean seem to respect each other because it is like they know each other’s boundaries.  As the shoreline changes from high tide to low tide, the water continues its regular rhythm.  It provides a never ending sound that carries us into a sleep filled relaxing moment.
